[1][2][3] Zorki 2-S is a 35mm film rangefinder camera made by KMZ and produced between 1955-60 with quantity 214.903 units. Зоркий 2-C = Zorki 2-S, Zorki means Sharp Sight.

The Zorki 2-C has both flash synchronization and a self timer. It also has strap lugs on the body, something the Zorki C lacked. Zorki 2-C came both with collapseable and fixed Industar-50 lens.

    • Aperture: f/3.5-f/16 setting: ring and scale on front of the lens
    • Focus range: 0.5-20m +inf

  • Focusing: match the rangefinder images in the rangefinder eyepiece (left side one on back of the top plate), by turning the lever behind the lens

  • Rangefinder: on the back left side of the top plate, yellow rangefinder images, very small
  • Re-wind knob: on the left side of top plate
  • Re-wind release: turn the shutter release collar to Л

  • Flash PC socket: on front of the camera, it is possible to set the duration by a lever and scale beneath the speeds dial
  • Tripod socket: 3/8"
  • Film loading: bottom loading, bottom plate opens by a pop-up lever on it
  • Engravings around the back cover opening ring: ЗAКР - ОTKP (Zakr-Otkr = Close-Open). ОTKP is an abbreviation for ОТКРЫТЫЙ

  2. As with other Soviet era rangefinders, the shutter speed selector rotates when the shutter is released, and should not be changed until after the shutter has been cocked. If you change the shutter speed without cocking the shutter first, the setting pin can be broken when you advance the film and cock the shutter.
