The Minolta AF-C is a compact autofocus 35mm camera featuring a high-quality, 6-element 35mm 1:2.8 lens. It combines the autofocus system of the Minolta Hi-Matic AF with features similar to some other notable compact cameras such as a sliding lens/viewfinder barrier reminiscent of the Cosina CX-2, and a manual film advance wheel and side-mounted flash like the Olympus XA. Exposure is automatic with no override other than manually adjusting the film speed. Colored viewfinder LEDs indicate focus confirmation and low-light warning. Power is supplied by either two CR 1/3N or four LR/SR44 batteries.
Accessories included the EF-C electronic flash, Quartz Data Back C, leather case and TR-1 mini tripod.
