The Minolta AF-C was a compact autofocus 35mm camera featuring a high-quality, 6-element 35mm 1:2.8 lens. It combined the autofocus system of the Minolta Hi-Matic AF with features similar to some other notable compact cameras such as a sliding lens/viewfinder barrier reminiscent of the Cosina CX-2, and a manual film advance wheel and side-mounted flash like the Olympus XA. No exposure control was possible other than manually adjusting the film speed. Colored viewfinder LEDs indicate focus confirmation and low-light warning.
