Konica I is a 35mm film rangefinder camera made by Konishiroku Co., Japan and produced between 1950-54. It is also known as Konica Standard or only Konica. It is very handy, sharp and reliable camera.

Similarly to Leica, Yashica and many others, the name Konica was formed by abbreviating the name of the manufacturer and suffixing -ca for camera.

  • Winding knob: before winding push the small silver button on the back of the top plate then one frame winds bu no double exposure prevention, you can cock and release the shutter always, on the right of the top plate
  • Frame counter: coupled with the winding knob, beneath it, decreasing type, manual setting
  • Re-winding knob: on the top plate, left-hand
  • Re-wind release: small siver button, on the right side of the bottom plate
  • Flash connection post: on the lens-shutter barrel
  • Flash Sync : M 1/50, F all speed
  • Tripod socket: 1/4"
  • Back cover: Hinged, opens with a knob on the bottom plate
  • Engraving on the bottom plate: Made in Japan
