Kodak Junior Six-16 (616)[]

Model Variants[]

A number of variations were built under the same name.

Junior Six-16[]

The Kodak Junior Six-16 was folding camera for 616 film rolls made by Kodak.

German Built[]

The German built (c.1935-37) design sported a round end and straight struts, a Kodak Anastigmat 1:7.7 or 1:6.3 f=12cm lens and a leather case. It sported two frame finders - the first a folding finder incorporated into it's housing and another optical finder was placed near the shutter. It also sported a quick release bar at the front of the bed which released the self-erecting bed. The Junior 616 took 6 exposures of 2-1/2 x 4-1/4 images on a single roll of 616.

UK Built[]

The UK built design was in production c1933-40. It was practically identical to the German built model, also sporting a round end and straight struts, a leather case - but only a simple Twindar Lens.

Just like it's German cousin, it also sported two frame finders - the first a folding finder incorporated into it's housing and another optical finder was placed near the shutter. It also sported a quick release bar at the front of the bed which released the self-erecting bed. The Junior Six-16 took 6 exposures of 2-1/2 x 4-1/4 images on a single roll of 616.

US Built[]

The US built design was in production c1935-37. It sported all of the features of it's Continental cousins with the lens being a an octoganal ended, Kodak Anastigmat, a No 1 Kodex shutter and further differentiated from it's cousins by the "N" style struts.

Junior Six-16 Series II[]

The US based models retained the octagonal front, with shutter speeds of T, B, 25, 50 and 100. The lens is a BIMAT.

There was also a Junior Six-20 Series II, which used 620 instead of 616 film.
