FujifilmNaturaBlackF191

Front

At F/1.9, the Fujifilm Natura Black F1.9 is the widest aperture compact point and shoot camera of the era. It is sometimes known as the 'Moonlight Camera'. Designed to benefit from Fujifilm's high speed 'Natura' range of films, if the camera is loaded with any film cartridge that has a DX value of ISO800 or higher, the camera utilises a different exposure program that makes best use of available light.

With a focal length of 24mm, the Fujifilm Natura Black F1.9 has one of the widest angles of view on a compact point and shoot camera.

Release and Discontinuation[]

Released in July 2001, and discontinued in November 2006, the camera was not marketed outside Japan. The camera is rare and sought after by collectors. The camera was also available in green grey and pink metallic finishes, known as the Fujifilm Natura S.

Image Quality[]

Despite the impressive lens specification, the camera tends to produce less than ideally exposed images with vignette and distortion. High speed film images come out grainy and with high contrast.

Control[]

The camera is is strictly Program AE only and the aperture is not user-selectable.

A domestic market-only product, all instructions and controls on the camera
