Changes: Fujifilm Instax Mini 7

The Instax Mini 7 and 7s are made in Japan by Fuji. The 7 is very rare and similar to the 7s so the 7s will be referred to for the remainder of this article. The Fuji 7s uses Fuji's own instant film format "Instax Mini". The Mini 7s has a basic light meter and allows the user to switch between four different apertures, which are indicated by symbols (indoors overcast, sunny, very sunny). To power on the device, the user extends the taking lens outward until it clicks into position. When the camera is powered on, the meter will indicate the recommended aperture with a blinking LED next to the symbol the user should switch to, no blinking LED indicates the camera will shoot wide open, the default aperture settings. Blinking LEDs indicate malfunction. The frame counter is mechanical, previous models used an LCD display.

The Fuji 7 was released June 2004 and 7s June 2008. The 7s was discontinued with the introduction of the Mini 8 in November 2012, however the 7s lives on as the rebranded Polaroid PIC-300 which is currently still available new as of August 2017. Launch of the Polaroid PIC-300 was in part due to influence from Lady Gaga for Polaroid to sell a true film instant camera once again.
